Early booking allows you to choose from four dates to start your classic Inca Trail. All four dates are set in the dry season, which is prime for taking photographs of the Andean landscape.
The Guided Machu Picchu hike is scheduled to start at 6:00 am on all four dates as well. The morning shift is the best chance travelers will get to photograph the sun rising over the Andes mountains while illuminating the Inca citadel.

We pick you up from your hotel early to travel by bus until Ollantaytambo, where we stop for a break to buy last-minute gear and personal items.
Then we go by bus to Piskacucho (Km 82) to start our hike. Finally, after about 3 hours, we arrive at the first Inca site, Patallaqta.
Then we’ll walk for about 30 minutes until our lunch spot called Tarayoc. Then, after a break, we ascend for about 2 hours toward our first campsite, Huayllabamba village.

We start the day with a healthy breakfast and provide some snacks to carry along the route, we trek up the mountain path foraround 5 hours to the highest point of the Inca Trail, Warmihuañusca Pass (4215 m.a.s.l.).
Then we descend about 1 ½ hours until Paqaymayu campsite, where we have lunch, dinner, and a well-deserved rest.

After a big breakfast, the group will walk about 1 hour until Runkuraqay archaeological site and then 1 hour more until Runruraqay Pass.
Afterward, we descend for about 1 hour to visit Sayaqmarka archaeological site, and after 30 minutes, we arrive at Chaquiqocha campsite, where we have lunch.
After that, we walk for about 1 ½ hours until the Phuyupatamarka Inka site, which is at the same time as the next Pass. Then, finally, we descend 3 hours to the the Wiñaywayna Inka site, where we spend our last night on the Trail.

We wake up very early, and after breakfast, we start our final leg of the trek and arrive in 2 hours to Inti Punku, where we have the first beautiful view of Machupicchu.
After a short hike down to Machu Picchu, we register and then enjoy a 2 ½ guided tour of the sanctuary. Afterward, we have free time to explore by ourselves.
And finally, we take the bus down to Aguas Calientes town, from where we take the train to return to Cusco.

Due to the effects of Covid19 on the travel industry, several of our clients were forced to move Machu Picchu tours and trips from 2020 to the 2021/22/23 travel season. When you add this to all the new bookings for 2023, we expect spaces to fill up quickly. There will be a few differences in how our multi-day hikes are operated compared to previous years. Below we’ll go over some details about 2023 Inca trail reservations.
In the 2023 hiking season, all Inca trail groups will remain a maximum size of 12 hikers at a time. This does not include the porters that will accompany the group as well as the two Inca Trail Bilingual guides. In addition, there will also be a cook joining the group to prepare all of our meals.Machu Picchu group tours in general will be smaller, so this is just adjusting all services to the new sizes.
Permits for Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu will also be limited, there are currently available permits on each of the four Inca Trail hiking dates in the booking form for 2023.
The 2023 Inca Trail as well as all other hikes related to Machu Picchu will are all scheduled to have access to the Inca citadel when purchasing the full hike.
