DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO LIMA

Welcome to Lima! Upon arriving at Lima airport, you will be picked up and transported to your Lima hotel to check-in.

DAY 2: LIMA CITY TOUR

Begin the Lima experience with a full-day tour, including the Lima city center and the various districts that surround the Metropolitan city.

DAY 3: ARRIVAL AT CUSCO

We fly to the former capital of the Incan empire, the city of Cusco. We suggest taking it easy on the first day with a high elevation of 11,150 feet or 3,400 meters.  Drink plenty of water or try some Coca tea!

DAY 4: CUSCO CITY TOUR

The Cusco city tour starts at 9:00 am. Your designated Cusco expert guide will pick you up at your hotel to begin the journey across the city of Cusco. We’ll visit the Cathedral, the Korikancha (Gold Museum), and the impressive ruins of Sacsayhuaman that overlook the city. End the day with dinner at one of Cusco’s finest restaurants.

DAY 5: SACRED VALLEY TOUR

Get ready for an incredible day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Haggle with the locals at Pisac Market for a variety of handmade clothing, climb to the top of the Ollantaytambo fortress for a fantastic view of the terraced valley, and gaze at the snow-capped peaks of the Andes’ most sacred mountains. You’ll also enjoy a feast of Peruvian specialties at a restaurant in Urubamba.

DAY 6: TRAIN TO AGUAS CALIENTES

You’ll travel along the Urubamba valley by train until reaching the iconic Andean cloud forest. Once we get to the train station, our guide will lead you to your hotel in Aguas Calientes. Take the day to explore this unique village and visit the natural hot springs located just outside the town.

DAY 7: MACHU PICCHU GUIDED TOUR

Today is the big day everyone has been waiting for. We head to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary on the tourist bus for a 20-minute ride up the mountain. You’ll soon have your first glimpse of the ancient Inca citadel, a mystical location hidden for hundreds of years. Your professional tour guide will take you for a tour around Machu Picchu’s most important sights. After a few hours of exploring the city, we return to Aguas Calientes and take a train ride back to Cusco.

Maras Salt Ponds

DAY 8: THE MARAS SALT PONDS

Today we travel an hour and a half from Cusco to the Maras Salt Ponds for a full day of exploration. The Maras ponds have been around since pre-Incan times so several cultures have a strong connection with the pink salt that emanates from the region.

DAY 9: THE RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

The Rainbow Mountain, as it is commonly referred to, has consistently been one of the most popular day hikes. We begin the trip with a 4:00 am pick-up and then drive to “Vinicunca,” otherwise known as the rainbow or painted mountains.

DAY 10: DEPARTURE FROM CUSCO

Pack your bags, enjoy breakfast, and prepare for your transfer to the airport and your journey back home.
