A favorite place to stop by and have a nice lunch in Miraflores is the Larcomar shopping center that overlooks the Pacific coastline. Most travelers that spend time in Lima will 100% visit Larcomar at some point which is great since some of the best restaurants in Larcomar have absolutely amazing menus.
In this shopping center you can choose from traditional Peruvian food , fusion cuisine, a delicious steak dinner or a vegetarian option if you prefer.
Pardo’s Chicken
We begin this list of the best restaurants in Larcomar with a crowd favorite, Pollo a la Brasa.
In this case, we visit Pardo’s Chicken, a Peruvian chain that specializes in making rotisserie-style chicken (Pollo a la Brasa) the local way.
The use of spices, cooking period, brining method, as well as cooking method, are all based on a Peruvian recipe so these chickens taste quite different than the average rotisserie-style back in the USA.
Currently, this chain has over 30 restaurants in Peru and several in other countries.

KO Asian Cuisine
KO Asia restaurant and cuisine are precisely what it sounds like. They specialize in Asian cooking.
What is interesting about KO, in particular, is that they don’t specialize in just one style of Asian cooking, instead, they have some of your favorite dishes from Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Indonesian and Vietnamese cuisine.
You can easily go for some Maki rolls and try the Pad Thain as well. The Spicy ginger pork is a crowd-pleaser.

Tanta
This Peruvian chain restaurant that focuses on making traditional Peruvian cuisine with the best ingredients possible.
It is a trendy, upscale Peruvian food restaurant with a broad selection of dishes, cocktails, and even desserts.
The very first Tanta was born in 2005 as a local restaurant in the upscale district of San Isidro. It finally made its way to Larcomar in 2013. The restaurant is a project that was put together by the world-renowned chef Gaston Acurio.
This restaurant opens early so if you feel like it you can enjoy a traditional Peruvian breakfast of Chicharron or try one of the international dishes such as a Spanish omelet.
The raviolis stuffed with roasted duck and the Lomo Saltado are favorites among the Journey Machu Picchu Lima office.

La Vaca Loca Restaurant & Parrillas
The Vaca Loca is a place with a great atmosphere. It is an upscale restaurant where you can try “parrilla” otherwise known as grilled meats.
La Vaca Loca also has a good selection of pasta as well as salads. They also make their own bread as well as their own various types of butter.
There are many items on the list to choose from but we feel this place makes it on the list because of the good selection of prime beef cuts. Try the new york sirloin or the steak tartare.

La Bonbonniere
La Bonbonniere is one of our top 10 restaurants in Larcomar since it offers dishes that are slightly different than most of what we will find. They focus on Peruvian – French fusion dishes.
The story begins in 1953 when a french immigrant couple decided to set up a restaurant in the district of San Isidro.
Ever since the restaurant became a popular place to try out some of their french cuisines with a twist of Peruvian flair.
We recommend trying the Boeuf Bourguignon, it is one of their main dishes that will particularly stand out.

Papacho’s
Papacho’s is yet another restaurant by the world-famous chef Gaston Acurio except this one has a main focus on the Hamburger.
Papacho’s says its main foothold in the burger world is creativity and a respect for traditional products. Several of their burgers have been “Peruvianized” by adding domestic ingredients to an already tasty Angus burger.
The side dishes are nothing to scoff at either. At the Lima office, we are very partial to “alitas winners” which are chicken wings in a sweet and sour sauce that comes with a side of lettuce that is absolutely smothered in a rich, blue cheese dressing.

Mangos Restaurant
This large place overlooking the ocean is a nice restaurant that prepares traditional Peruvian cuisine. Here you will find buffet options on the weekends for breakfast as well as dinner on some occasions.
The interesting thing about this restaurant is that they constantly update their menu options with standard and modernized Peruvian dishes.
They also have a very impressive bar which is in the balcony area of the restaurant. Speaking of the outside area, Mangos has by far the best view of the Peruvian coastline out of all the restaurants in Larcomar.
There is something quite intriguing about ordering a Pisco sour in February while the sun is shining and reflecting off the pacific ocean.

Popular
Is located on the first floor of Larcomar, across from the cafeteria. Once you check their menu you will soon realize that their ideas revolve around Peruvian food, but more specifically Peruvian seafood.
The service is usually very good, and their dishes are quite tasty. If you are in Larcomar and want to stop or a ceviche then checks out Popular and their ample variety.

La Trattoria Di Mambrino
La Trattoria Di Mambrino is everything you could possibly expect from an Italian restaurant that focuses on Pasta.
They make their own pasta in-house so you can always expect it to be “al dente” with every bite. This restaurant is actually one of my favorites in all of Peru.
The food is spectacular and the service is always top-notch. They have a great selection of top-shelf spirits if you feel like having a drink.
The view is also quite good, this restaurant also faces the ocean and even has a few outside tables.

Peru is a country that breathes gastronomy as well as culture. To Peruvians, food is as important as anything else and they present this idea to a large variety of restaurants.
Before you hike to Machu Picchu make sure to get a taste of what Lima has to offer culturally which incidentally also includes the cuisine.
